Second Week

 August 13, 2018

         Today, we had a welcoming dinner at Restoran Sederhana .

August 14, 2018

          Actually, I didn’t have class today but I also went to school with my Filipino friend that had class. I observed him teaching. He was really good at teaching and that made me nervous because I didn’t know if I would be able to do the same thing. The students are really good at speaking English and they are very active.

         In the evening, we all just prepared our lesson plan for teaching tomorrow.  I prepare my lesson plan for Grade 9. The lessons that I am going to teach them are 2 steps instructions and multi instructions.

August 15, 2018

          Today I had to teach grade 9 students. I was very nervous because it was my first time teaching in English. But the students gave me such a warm welcoming which made me feel a bit more relax. They are so cute and very talkative. Moreover, they are very smart and very good in English. They finished the assignment that I gave them earlier than I planned so I had to think of another activity for them to do in that class.

August 16, 2018

       Today, my school cerebrate the Indonesia’s Independent Day. There are so many activities for students and teachers to join. I also joined one game. In this game, I had to pass the rubber by using straw. It was quite hard but I had so much fun.

August 17, 2018 

Today is Indonesia’s Independence Day. All of us joined the celebration that’s hold in the university. We joined the activities as much as we could such as dancing, passing water game, passing shirt game, eating traditional food game and playing musical chairs. We won some games and got the prizes. I had so much fun today.  

August 18, 2018

        Today is such a stressful day. All of us had to prepare our lesson plans. Especially me, I had to prepare 6 lesson plans. I wouldn’t be able to finish my 6 lesson plans without some help from my SEA teacher friends. They all gave me such a great support.

        We had been running out of water for a few days so today decided to use the voucher that we got from winning the game yesterday to buy water. We bought the water from Indomart, but the problem is we couldn’t carry the gallon of water back to our dormitory because it was very heavy. We had no idea how to carry this gallon of water to our dormitory. But when it is dark enough, you can see the stars. Two heroes appeared and offered to help us carrying the gallon of water. They were so strong and very kind with us. Here is the picture of our heroes. 

August 19, 2018

         Today, my school had an outdoor activity for grade 9 students and I also joined them. We went for hiking at Sukawana. It was my first time hiking. I was very tired but also had so much fun and the view on the top of mountain is worth tiring. The principals treated us breakfast and lunch and they even drove us to our dormitory. They are really kind with me and my friend. I really appreciated their kindness.
